How to Create a Unit of Measures

Unit of Measure defines the number of products sold or services rendered, which could either be in formats of a single unit or multiple units. Examples: Each, Case, Dozen, Hour, Annual, Weekly, Inch, Foot, Yard, Pint, Quart, Gallon, Pound, etc..

The purpose of UOM is to price the products in units other than a single unit. At the time of creating a Sales or Purchase Transaction for a product, the system automatically retrieves the product in the default UOM defined in the Product Master. Stock can be inward and sold with different units of measure.
