Legacy Transactions

1. Objective & Purpose

Legacy Transactions are the final transactions namely Sales Invoice, Credit Note, Purchase Invoice, Debit Note, Goods Receipt, imported in to the Database for comparing stock or view previous transactions. It is not used for any accounting purpose like aging, journal transactions etc.

2. Scope- The option called Legacy Transactions is provided in sales, purchase list (Sales Invoice, Credit Note, Purchase Invoice, Debit Note, Goods Receipt). It can only be viewed and no other options are available in the transactions. Those transactions will be prefixed with L- and type will be listed as "Legacy" instead of standard.

3.  Data Loading / Importing into DB Procedure-- Legacy transactions are imported in to Database which are old dated. This is done currently done by DB scripts

4. Screens from where we can access the legacy data

5. Impact and known limitation

These transactions by default will not be listed in Sales/Purchase list

We can just view them but no other options are available in the transactions.

Recent Enhancement to legacy transcations:

Legacy Transactions are independent of the PAID option in Sales Invoice and Purchase Invoice listing
